I would like to make a writing app that would let you trace a letter in a channel type of pathway like already exists in many apps but this time I would like it to have the child type in their name and have it graph the child's accuracy in staying in the channel pathway for each date that the child performs the writing activity. So they would get accuracy points for staying completely in the path for not lifting the stylus or finger tip off of the screen and they would receive a timed score of how long each letter took to form for each date. Then a progress monitoring chart could be made by the occupational therapist to show progress made by each child from one entered date to another by entering the childs name and the dates they want to see a progress graph for. OTs like me would buy this app if it was not too much like not over $3-4.00. The app would need to have upper case, lower case alphabet manuscript print and cursive options. Then a number one 0-9 could also be made witht the same format. Occupational Therapists in the schools are now being asked to do progress monitoring of the children they serve and this would help them meet this goal. Then this app could be featured in their publications for the app review of the month. I already write these for one of the publications and could put it in this national magazine to be read by all of the OTs so it would get wide publicity to the targeted audience. Also OTs like me input OT for apps and currently find 0 where as speech therapists have a multitude. I have many more ideas if anyone chooses mine we could develop a whole OT line of applications.
