To centralise ticketing media throughout all industries. We are looking to develop an ‘App’ linked with multiple businesses to reduce overhead costs (ticket printing, etc) and make travelling, gigging and spectating faster and easier for both the businesses linked with and the end user.
The principle is to use the phone to Swipe the on-screen barcode to allow you into concerts, trains, planes and much more. The end user would have a specific account for Swiper that would enhance the ticketing process by allowing priority in terms of booking and entry.
Justification for Commercialisation of our Product:
Smart phones are dominating the mobile market with a massive 81% of the worlds phones. The app itself targets easy use and “instant tickets” for the consumer end. In business terms, the app allows companies to reduce overheads by lowering printing, posting and general administration costs. Another bonus feature deters ticket touts which are always frowned upon by true fans.
For Examples, Ticketmaster UK spend approx £4.2m on ticket printing plus approx £50k for admin overheads. We would firstly like to tackle this issue then move onto sports (10k's of tickets weekly) and other ticket companies.
British Airways have a similar function with the QR code for a boarding pass. Possibility to link to facebook as "who's going to this gig" and a "pin on map" idea of what you've attended.
